Blogging hiatus
It was an unintentional hiatus. First I decided that I wanted to be funny and then promptly forgot all funny thoughts I had ever had, ever.
Then stuff happened. Not exciting stuff. Just. Stuff.
Then Beck awoke last night coughing and screaming because he was having a hard time breathing. I know on a scale of one to ten of scary things that parents can experience this is probably low for all you seasoned veterans out there, but for Jeff and I it was scary. He's ok now. Back to his happy, smiley, (just a little more snotty and cough-y) self.
Then I dislocated my shoulder today trying to bring in two trash cans at once from the curb. I know what you are thinking... WHOA!!! AMY!! Settle down there! Don't over exert yourself! Well, this is the same girl who also dislocated her shoulder turning off her alarm, putting a blanket around her shoulders and playing badminton. Badminton. It's not the activity, people. It's the shoulder. Or shoulders.
I reached for the second trash can and whomp! It came out. Feeling especially crunchy and perhaps like someone was trying to saw my arm off with a butter knife. Then, inexplicably (there was no ice anywhere in sight) I fell on said shoulder and knocked it back in to socket. That's probably as close as I'll ever get to that Mel Gibson/Danny Glover movie where Mel whacks his arm against a wall to get his shoulder back in socket. Except I lay there and moaned in pain with an especially dramatic flair for a whole minute. Very un-Mel Gibson-y of me. Anywho. I'm doing better if you're wondering. The dislocation always hurts like a mother trucker but when arm and socket are reunited things get better fairly quickly. I think it's because I've done it so many times.
So other than that, things are going well. I've used my own homemade neti pot like 5 times today and I think my sinuses are starting to drain so... Giddy-yup.
Now here's a picture of my adorable baby.
